oak street

This past weekend, we spent a good bit of our Sunday down on Oak Street. We perused a little used bookstore where James picked out two books for our niece and nephew (a beautiful illustrated copy of Wind in the Willows, and a picture book all about dinosaurs). We then drank cafe au lait at the lovely Rue de la Course. We sat in that coffee shop for a few hours...studying, people watching, daydreaming, enjoying all that good Sunday-ness. And when we had had enough, and were starting to get a little hungry, we popped across the street to Tru Burger for an early dinner. A goat cheese, arugula, and garlic aioli burger with onion rings for me, a fried green tomato and pimento cheese burger with a PBR for James.

There's so much more on this little street we want to explore--other restaurants and cafes; a vintage clothing store and bike shop. We'll definitely be heading back that way in the very near future.
