Oh, the weekend. I don't know if there is anything better than the weekend. Truly, truly. And James and I, we are good at weekends. Sleeping in, gyming, eating roughly ten crab rangoons for dinner--yeah, the weekend is where we shine. We could be weekending professionals, for sure. And maybe we should pursue that career path. I mean, who needs law/med school when there are movies to watch, and cookbooks to read, and naps to take? Right? :)Just kidding, of course. After all, I do love the weekdays, too. I thrive on being busy and getting up early and school has forever been my favorite. But in my dreamiest of dream worlds, it is perpetually Sunday morning, and there is infinite time for baking, movie marathons, running in the park, and daydreaming with Jameson. Perfect.
Anyway, this weekend we spent the majority of our time sleeping and studying. This moot court class is a killer, and James always has mountains of teeny tiny facts to memorize (I could not do med school, guys. nope, nope, nope. (and not just because I get queasy at the mention of needles...)). We found new study spots, drank good tea and coffee, and got some schooling accomplished. We also did our taxes, because we are adult-like people, I guess? We then followed tax and study time with copious amounts of Chinese food and movies. We were super bummed that Hotel Transylvania was rented out (I guess we aren't 100% adult-like), and ended up with the remake of Total Recall. I might have dozed off partway through (whoops) but the parts I saw were relatively decent. We ended the night with me watching James reddit, which is one of our favorite pasttimes as of late. All of the video game references are lost on us, but we thoroughly enjoy the cute animals and babies.
Sunday was for more studying, and a little city-exploring. We ate hamburgers and drank chider (1/2 chai tea, 1/2 apple cider) and finished season 4 of The Wire (best one yet, but heart-wrenching!). We Target-ed, and spent a good twenty minutes perusing the exercise/camping aisles (we want all the things). And then we stayed up far too late and now I'm paying for it. But it was worth it. It always is. Already can't wait for next weekend.
P.S. we also celebrated Chocolate Friday with a maple, bacon donut. And that was awesome and worthy of a mention.
P.P.S. James surprised me with those beautiful flowers for Valentine's Day. Sunflowers are one certain path to my heart. He's the best.
That coffee shop looks so cozy and delightful. And the chider sounds like something I'm going to have to try!

it is gooood. we stumbled on a couple clearance jugs of apple cider at target yesterday...so we'll probably be drinking chider until summertime.
Deletemiss you friend!
I want your emerald nails.
